Introduction

Chandraprabha Vati is an ayurvedic formulation which is prepared from mixture of various herbs. This formulation helps to treat the problems related to urinary tracts and some other. This name of the formulation is due to its effective and calming properties.

Ingredients

  1. Kapur kachri - Hedychium Spicatum
  2. Vacha - Acorus calamus
  3. Musta - Cyperus rotundus
  4. Chirata - Swertia Chirayaita
  5. Giloy - Tinospora cordifolia
  6. Daruka - Cedrus deodara
  7. Haridra - Curcuma longa
  8. Atees - Aconitum heterophyllum
  9. Daru-haldi-Berberis aristata
  10. Chitrakmool bark - Plumbago zeylanica
  11. Dhanyaka - Coriandrum sativum
  12. Big haritaki – big Terminalia chebula
  13. Bahera – Terminalia chebula
  14. Amla - Phyllanthus emblica
  15. Chavya - Piper chaba
  16. Vidanga - Embelia ribes
  17. Gajapippali - Scindapsus officinalis
  18. Chotti pippali – small Piper longum
  19. Sonth - Zingiber officinale
  20. Maricha - Piper nigrum
  21. Swarna makshik bhsama
  22. Sajji-khar - Salsola stocksii
  23. Yava kshara - Hordeum vulgare
  24. Saindhava Lavana – Rock salt

  33. Tej patta - Cinnamomum tamala
  34. Dalchini - Cinnamomum verum
  35. Badi elaichi – bigg Elettaria cardamomum
  36. Bamboo - Bambusa Arundinacea
  37. Loha bhsama

  39. Purified shilajit – Asphaltum
  40. Guggulu - Commiphora mukul

Method of Preparation

  • Took nishoth, danti mool, tej patta, dal chini, badi elaichi and bamboo up to 12 grams, loha bhsama up to 24 grams, mishri up to 48 grams, shilajit and guggulu up to 96 grams and other remaining herbs up to 36 grams.
  • First of all clean the guggulu and mix it with loha bhsama. Now crushit properly.
  • Then add the shilajit and other ingredients in it.
  • Now leave this mixture in giloy's juice for three days.
  • Now take175 grams of this mixture and make its pills.

Dose

One to three pills, two times a day with milk, guduchi, kwath or honey.

Contraindications

  • Use under medical prescription especially in case of high B.P.
  • Over dose can cause burning sensation in the stomach.
