Moringa oleifera is graceful, small and deciduous tree with sparse foliage. During flowering season this plant is closely resembling to leguminous species from distance. This tree grows up to height of 10-12mt and diameter of trunk is 45cm. Bark is smooth, dark greyish in color and surrounded by thick cork. Young shoots have purple or green whitish hairy bark. This tree is deeply rooted with wide, open and typical umbrella shaped crown with tripinnate leaves. Leaflets are rounded-elliptical dark green above and pale from under surface.

Ela is pungent, aromatic, herbaceous and perennial plant in the ginger family. This plant grows in height about 2-4m. Leaves of this plant are 20-40cm long, linear-lanceolate, alternate in two ranks and have long pointed tip. Leaves are dark green and sword shaped. Flowers are produced in loose spikes about 30-60cm long and white or pale violet in color. Flowers contain both male and female parts. Fruits are 1-2cm long three sided, three chambered, yellow green pods surrounding several black and brown seeds. The green seed pods of this plant are dried and seeds are used as spice for various Indian cuisines.

Baliospermum montanum is monoecious and stout undershrub that grows up to 1.8mt in height. This plant has herbaceous branches that are arising from the roots. Upper branches bear small lanceolate leaves and lower branches have 3-5 lobed large, simple and sinuate-toothed leaves. Flowers are unisexual and are numerous arranged in axillary racemes. Male flower's calyx is round, membranous, long and finely mottled with 5-6 disc glands. Female flowers are small, hairy and have ovate and lanceolate sepals. Fruits of this plant are three lobed capsules. Seeds are mottled, smooth and contains oily endosperms. Flowers appears in month of January and February and fruits appears one month later.

Berberis aristata is erect, evergreen shrub with height of 3.5mt. It is woody plant with yellow to brown bark from outside and with dark yellow bark inside. The bark is fully covered with three branched thorns, which are modified leaves in tufts of 5-8 and are simple with pinnate venation. Upper surface of leaves are dark green and lower surface of leaves are light green. Leaves of this plant are toothed, simple, sessile, and leathery in texture and are arranged radically. Flowers are stalked, yellow, complete and hermaphrodite. Flowers appear in the month of April-May. This plant is self-fertile and are pollinated by small insects. Fruits are ovoid and covered with bloom as in plum and color is aconite violet. Fruits of this herb are juicy rich in nutrients and contain plenty of sugar. Seeds are 2-5 in number and vary in color from yellow to pink.

Fruit of this plant is ovoid drupe, broad, blackish and have five longitudinal ridges. Flowers have dull white to yellow color with strong and unpleasant odor.
