Downregulation of COX2, 5-LOX, adhesion molecules, inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, growth factor receptors, VEGF, and transcription factors by curcumin have been linked to its antitumor activity. Inhibition of mtor pathways.

Natural remedies for Cancer
Cancer is a disease where cells divide at an excessive rate and become abnormal in function; malignancy. It is a malignant and invasive growth or tumor, esp. one originating in epithelium, tending to recur after excision and spreads to other sites.
Any disease characterized by such growths is known as Cancer.
Cancer often does not have any specific symptoms and one should limit its known risk factors.
Cells are the building blocks of life. The cells usually multiply that is required for the normal function of life and dies when the body doesn’t need it. In case of Cancer, it keeps on multiplying and the existing cells don’t die leading to malignancy.
Synonyms: Cancerous, benign, malignant, carcinogen, carcinoma, tumor, canker etc.
The exact cause of Cancers is unknown. But still there are certain known factors that is responsible for the formation of cancers, which include, expose to radiation, expose to UV rays, tobacco chewing, smoking, alcohol consumption, hormone replacement therapy, expose to certain chemicals like pesticides, metals, benzenes, nickel, asbestos, uranium, radon etc. (these are well known carcinogens ). However sometimes it is found that some of the persons who suffer from the disease have none of the known risk factors of disease. Vice-versa, a person exposed to these factors sometimes is not affected by the disease. Similarly, sometimes the person suffering from cancer necessarily does not have any particular symptom. It varies from person to person and it is not contagious.
But to protect oneself from this major disease, one should avoid all these risk factors.
The symptoms of Cancer depend on the type, location and how rapidly it metastasizes. The symptoms appear when the cancerous cells become large and start hitting the nearby structures or organs. But in some cases, the symptoms are not seen.
However the most common symptoms include: unusual loss of weight, loss of appetite, fatigue, stress, fever, bleeding from different parts of the body etc.
The types of Cancers are based on the location of the tumor and the various types are Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer, Kidney Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Skin Cancer, Colon Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Brain Tumors, Bladder Cancer, Laryngeal Cancer, liver Cancer, Thyroid Cancer, Gastric Cancer etc.
Therea are certain herbs that help in preventing the rapid spreading of these malignant cells and improve the chances to survive.
CANCER ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA
According to Ayurveda, it can be co-related with Arbuda.
In Ayurveda, Cancer is a disease that often involves all the three doshas, though it starts with the predominance of one.
The ‘Agni’ is generally low allowing a build up of toxic substances. The Cancer represents negative life energy. This negative life energy usually caused by excess of ‘Apana’. Apana disorders such as distention, constipation, and diarrhea may be the basis of this condition. Cancer cells lacking oxygen (Prana) represent a growth in the body outside the rule of Prana.
Ayurveda emphasizes also on prolonged improper dietary factors and lifestyle, such as intake of rotten, leftover, improperly cooked, stale, reheated food, unethical deeds, improper posture, toxic environment etc. that triggers formation of Arbuda.
Its basis is often suppressed emotion or emotional stagnation, which causes accumulation of toxic material, and excess doshas. Hence, physical remedial measures are not enough to restore health.
Proper diet, lifestyle, Medication, emotional cleansing, Mantra and Medication are important to counter this.
So, following these steps will reduce the chances of rapidly multiplying cells.
In recent researches, it has been found out that certain drugs like garlic, onion, turmeric, Indian pennywort are effective in Cancer. The scientific evidence has not proved yet but still it has shown to reduce the intensity of the disease.
Similarly, there are certain procedures like Vasti (Enemas) and Virechanam that helps in detoxifying the body. It helps in removing toxins and simultaneously reduces the symptoms and multiplying of the cells. But it has to be done under the advice of Practitioners and also it should be done under mild dosage.
Practice of meditation and breathing exercise has found to be effective by increasing your energy, reducing stress and possibly prevent the disease. It is a simple and easy way to prevent the disease.
Curcumin also restores immune cells in cancer and other diseases
Scientists showed that curcumin, the main ingredient of the Indian herb turmeric, restores key immune cells that fight off cancer.
The immune system of patients with advanced cancer is significantly weakened, mostly because the main cells that fight off tumors either cannot proliferate anymore or have died off. Curcumin was previously shown to have anti-tumor activity but its effects on the immune system were unknown - until now.
Gaurisankar Sa and colleagues showed that curcumin boosts the immune system of tumor-bearing mice by restoring key immune cells called CD4 and CD8 T cells. The scientists also showed that curcumin increases the production of proteins that cause immune cells to proliferate and reduces the production of proteins that destroy immune cells.
