Introduction
Chandraprabha Vati is an ayurvedic formulation which is prepared from mixture of various herbs. This formulation helps to treat the problems related to urinary tracts and some other. This name of the formulation is due to its effective and calming properties.
Ingredients
- Kapur kachri – Hedychium spicatum
- Vacha – Acorus calamus
- Musta – Cyperus rotundus
- Chirata – Swertia chirayita
- Giloy – Tinospora cordifolia
- Daruka – Cedrus deodara
- Haridra – Curcuma longa
- Atees – Aconitum heterophyllum
- Daru-haldi – Berberis aristata
- Chitrakmool bark – Plumbago zeylanica
- Dhanyaka – Coriandrum sativum
- Big haritaki – Terminalia chebula (big)
- Bahera – Terminalia bellirica
- Amla – Phyllanthus emblica
- Chavya – Piper chaba
- Vidanga – Embelia ribes
- Gajapippali – Scindapsus officinalis
- Chotti pippali – Piper longum (small)
- Sonth – Zingiber officinale
- Maricha – Piper nigrum

Method of Preparation
- Took nishoth, danti mool, tej patta, dal chini, badi elaichi and bamboo up to 12 grams, loha bhasma up to 24 grams, mishri up to 48 grams, shilajit and guggulu up to 96 grams and other remaining herbs up to 36 grams.
- First of all clean the guggulu and mix it with loha bhasma. Now crushit properly.
- Then add the shilajit and other ingredients in it.
- Now leave this mixture in giloy’s juice for three days.
- Now take175 grams of this mixture and make its pills.
Dose
One to three pills, two times a day with milk, guduchi, kwath or honey.

Contraindications
- Use under medical prescription especially in case of high B.P.
- Overdose can cause burning sensation in the stomach.
