Extra Nutritional Salad / Sprouts

Being consumed by Sportsperson and Army Personnel to have strength and stamina for a longer period of time.

Sprouts, that are considered as the Living Food are the most amazing edibles. These are best to be named as the Powerhouse of Nutrition. Sprouting means the germination of seeds, legumes, and nuts. A seed whether it’s a nut, a lentil or a bean has the ability to grow into a complete plant and are enriched with all the wonderful nutrients. Sprouting them activates their potential and multiplies their nutritional value. Sprouting makes the seeds, easy to digest, a better absorbent and enhances the minerals, protein and vitamins already present in them.But, Proper Sprouting needs a process of 2-3 days, so here we are providing you the easiest and convenient way to keep the ingredients soaked overnight and have it in the breakfast or at times during the day while working or the evening snacks. We can call it Salad, which is also equally beneficial when includes all the wonderful and potent ingredients.

Thus, the below ingredients can be used as Salad or Sprouts as per your convenience and need.

  1. Black Grams (Kaale Chane) – 5 spoons
  2. Green Lentils (Hari Moong Dal) – 3 Spoons
  3. Raw Peanuts (Kachi Mungfali) – 2 Spoons
  4. Almonds (Baadam) – 4-5
  5. Raisins (Kishmish) – 8-10
  6. Cashew nuts (Kaaju) – 4-5
  7. Figs (Anjeer) – 1
  8. Water – 1 Bowl

Time for Preparation

  • Salad - 1 Night
  • Sprouts – 2-3 days / nights (need to change the water daily and to keep them covered all the time), Better to keep in refrigerator.

How to Prepare?

Soak these ingredients together in the said quantity overnight and the following morning, drain the water and keep them in a Bowl.

For Better Taste, a pinch of black salt or rock salt with some lemon drops can be added.

Also, it can be garnished with seasonal green leaves and vegetables such as chopped coriander leaves, cabbage, cucumber, onion, carrots, and tomatoes (1-2 tsp each) for making it a Super Nutritional Bowl.

Best Time to Have this Nutritional Bowl

You can have it in your breakfast, evening snacks or meanwhile working all the day.


One can also soak all these ingredients once and can use for next 1 week by keeping in the refrigerator and can have the taste of both Salad and Sprouts together with less efforts. But, never keep once soaked ingredients for more than a week in any situation and it may cause problems for a person who is already suffering from any chronic or acute disease.
