Amlapitta is of two types- urdavaga amlapitta in which kapha dosha is associated which includes symptoms like vomitus of yellow, green, black colour, acid eructations, heartburn, headache, anorexia, itching, fever, boils and rashes. Adhoga amlapitta is associated with pitta dosha and symptoms include fainting, burning sensation, polydipsia, confusion, delusion, nausea, indigestion, sweating, horripilation and yellow tinge of the body.

It helps in curing amlapitta by its cold potency and lowering the levels of aggravated pitta in the body that is the main reason of amlapitta. It can be administered along with ghrita or amla swarasa and nagkesar churna.

Raktapitta

“Raktam ch pittam iti raktapittam” Raktapitta is considered as one of the bleeding disorders in which the vitiated pitta vitiates rakta dosha and which flows out of the body through any of the body’s orifices. The reason behind raktapitta is ushna ahara (hot potency food), kshara ahara (alkali food), lavna ahara (salty food), excessive sitting under sun, excessive walking, depression, anxiety, fear, eating milk along with salty food products. It is of three types on the basis of types- urdhva raktapitta which can cause symptoms like bleeding occurs from the upper orifices (mouth, eyes, nose and ears) and blood is oily, sticky, yellowish tinge and associated with kapha dosha. Second type is adhoga raktapitta and the symptoms that occur in adhoga raktapitta are associated with vata dosha and bleeding occurs from orifices of the lower body like anus, vagina and penis. And the third one is ubhya margi raktapitta in which symptoms of both urdhva and adhoga raktapitta are included.

Hridroga is of five types and pain dominating cardiac diseases are considered under Hridroga. The five types of hridroga are vataja, pittaja, kaphaja, tridodhaj and krimija hridya roga. The causes of these hrida roga are excessive exercise, excessive intake of bitter food, excessive purgations, excessive use of enemas, excessive thinking, fear, depression, secondary to untreatable disease, excessive vomiting, prolonged indigestion, suppression of natural urge, trauma, etc.
