Sahachara Baladi Kashayam - Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage

Introduction

Sahachara Baladi Kashayam is an undiluted decoction is made from herbs, which comprise of water soluble active principles.

Ingredients

  • Vasa (Adhatoda vasica)
  • Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata)
  • Dried ginger (Zingiber officinalis)
  • Sahachara (Strobilanthes ciliatus)
  • Castor (Ricinus communis)
  • Dusparsa (Tragia involucrata)
  • Ativisha (Aconitum heterophyllum)
  • Sati (Kaempferia galangal)
  • Devadaru (Cedrus deodara)
  • Bala (Sida cordifolia)
  • Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus)
  • Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)
  • Ikshura (Hygrophila auriculata)

Method of Preparation

Clean and crush all the ingredients to a coarse powder. Add this powder to water and boil it till it reduces to 1/4th of its volume. Let it cool down and filter it. Transfer the filtrate to a tinted glass bottle.

Medicinal Properties

Sahachara Baladi Kashayam is an Ayurvedic medicine meant to manage the vata disorders. This herbal decoction is prepared by the combination of herbs which comprise the anti-inflammatory properties. Use of this medicine is quite good to manage the inflammatory conditions in body. It is very helpful medicine to manage the various problems like joint pain, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis etc. Anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic action of this medicine helps to alleviate the various symptoms like joint pain, morning stiffness, inflammation etc. This medicine is quite good for joints problems and also improves the blood circulation in the affected areas. Besides of this, it is good medicine for various other inflammatory conditions like backache, general body pains and debility etc.

  • Back ache
  • Vata doshas

Dosage

Consume 5 to 15 ml and dilute it with 15 to 30 ml of water.

There are no reported side effects of this formulation.
