Ark Hara-Bhara
Introduction
Ark Hara-Bhara is a classical Ayurvedic distilled formulation prepared through the traditional Arka Kalpana method. This preparation contains several cooling, rejuvenating, blood-purifying, and cardiotonic herbs that are carefully processed in water and distilled to obtain a subtle medicinal extract. The name “Hara-Bhara” itself indicates nourishment, freshness, vitality, and restoration of weakened body tissues. This Ark is traditionally indicated in conditions such as Rajayakshma (tubercular wasting disorders), Urahkshata (injury or weakness of the chest and lungs), burning urination, infectious urinary disorders, and palpitation. The formulation also supports the upper body organs, especially the lungs, heart, and nervous system. Since Ark preparations are light and quickly absorbable, Ark Hara-Bhara is considered suitable for debilitated individuals who cannot tolerate heavy medicines. Many of the ingredients in this formulation possess cooling (Sheetala), strengthening (Balya), rejuvenating (Rasayana), and tissue-supportive properties.
