Introduction

Kanaksunder rasa is a herbo-mineral composition. It is effective in diarrhea especially in diarrhea associated with fever.

Ingredients

1. Shuddha Hingula (Red sulphied of mercury)
2. Maricha (Piper nigrum)
3. Pippali (Piper longum)
4. Shuddha Gandhak (Purified sulphur)
5. Shuddha Suhaga (Citrus tankan)
6. Shuddha Vatsanabha (Aconitum ferox)
7. Datura (Datura metel)
8. Extracts of Bhanga (Cannabis sativa)

Description of Main Ingredients

1. Shuddha Hingula (Red sulphied of mercury) - Purified form of Hingu is used as medicine in various diseases. It acts as a good appetizer. It pacifies Vata and kapha dosha. It stimulates appetite and digestive fire. It has tiksha and snigdha guna which helps in improving peristalsis, relieves abdominal pain.
2. Maricha (Piper nigrum) - It has tikshan and Ushan guna, which is helpful in pacifying vata and kapha dosha. It is a liver stimulant. It is helpful in appetite, indigestion, liver dysfunction etc.
3. Pippali (Piper longum) - It is a good appetizer, carminative, analgesic and mild laxative. It helps in improving digestive power by stimulating digestive fire. It has pungent, tikshan and ushan properties and hence acts as vermicide. It is helpful in anorexia, loss of appetite, indigestion, piles etc.
4. Shuddha Gandhak - Sulphur is also used as medicine in various diseases in its pure form. This is a solid element found in nature. In Ayurveda it is used as medicine after detoxifying Sulphur to get Shuddha Gandhak. It acts as alterative. This is also used as Rasayan and improves digestion.

Method of Preparation

• Take the above drugs in equal quantity.
• Properly mix hingula and gandhak in a kharal yantra.
• Then add other drugs in this mixture and give proper frolement with the Extracts of bhanga.
• Make 250 mg tablets and let them dry.
• Kept these tablets in a airtight glass container.

Medicinal Properties

Kanaksunder rasa is an Ayurvedic formulation. It is effective in chronic diarrhea. The ingredients in this formulation are very effective in improving digestion. It enhances digestive power.

Dosage

1 tablet twice a day with honey.
