Ksheerabala 101 Thailam (Oil)

REFERENCE: Ashtanga Hridayam Vatarakta Chikitsa 22/45-46, Charaka Samhita Chikitsa Sthana 29th Chapter (Vatarakta).

Introduction

Ksheerabala 101 Thailam is an Ayurvedic oil used in the treatment of Vata disorders causing neuro muscular pains, sciatica, spondylosis, paralysis etc. This oil is also available in capsule form. Ksheera means "cow milk", Bala means an herb called "Sida cordifolia" and Taila means – "sesame oil".

Ingredients

Ksheerbala 101 is the oil, which is processed for 101 times. The oil is formulated as follows:-

  • Bala – Sida cordifolia 10 grams
  • Ksheera – Milk – 160 ml
  • Taila – Sesame oil – 40 ml

Method of Preparation

Oil is cooked by adding the decoction of bala (4 times in quantity of oil), paste of Bala – Country mallow (root) (1/4 the quantity of oil), and milk (in equal quantity of oil) for the 1000 or 100 times.

  • Improves quality of voice
  • Erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation
  • To increases libido

  • Cataract
  • Earache
  • Head ache
  • Vaginal disorders and colic

Direction for Use

It is used for massage, Ayurvedic enema therapy, Dhara, Seka etc.

Apply 20 ml Luke warm oil all over the body and massage gently for 10 minutes, followed by bath in Luke warm water after half an hour. For use in treatment centres, Spas or for self-massage at home.

Side Effects

There are no known side effects of this oil on external application.
