Introduction

It is useful in curing diarrhea, dysentery, intestinal infections and bleeding disorders etc. These tablets also provide relief in irritable bowel syndrome. Kutaj Ghan Vati has antidysenteric, antidiarrheal, anti-amoebic action and hemostatic properties.

- Kutaj (Holarrhena antidysenterica)
- Ativisha (Aconitum heterophyllum)
Method of Preparation
Boil Kutaj in 16 time water till just 1/8th part is remaining. Remove the decoction from flame and let it cool down and filter it through a muslin cloth. Cook it for some more time till it thickens. Let it dry under sunlight and add Ativisha powder. Make 175 mg tablets each and put it in the dryer till all the moisture is evaporated. Store it in an airtight container.
