Introduction

Makardhwaj is an ayurvedic formulation. This formulation is known to prepare from the combination of herbs and minerals. This medicine helps to maintain all the doshas – vata, kapha and pitta and treat problems related to increasing age and sexual health.

Ingredients

  • Shuddha Swarna – Purified gold leaves
  • Shuddha Parada – Herbal purified Mercury
  • Shuddha Gandhaka – Herbal purified Sulphur
  • Karpasa – Gossypium herbaceum’s juice extract
  • Kumari – Aloe vera – juice

Method of Preparation

  • Took all the ingredients in its appropriate quantity. Swarna up to 12 gram, gandhaka up to 288 grams, parade up to 96 grams, karpasa and kumara up to sufficient need.
  • First took swarna and parade. Triturated these together.
  • After this process, added gandhaka in it.
  • After these things, added juice extracts of karpasa (cotton) and kumara (aloe vera) in it.
  • Triturated above mixture till dryness.
  • This mixture further processed through kupipakwa method.
  • In Kupipakwa method, first of all kupi or glass bottle is prepared which is prepared first selecting by taking a bottle and wrapped with mud smeared in cloth. Wrapped the bottle in seven layers.
  • Now allowed these layers to dry.
  • After this filled the bottle with ingredients and buried in sand to get uniform temperature.
  • After this gradually heating had to be done for a period.
  • Few tests are done to check the completion of procedure.
  • Cool down the kupi and broke the kupi at neck of bottle and collected the paste.
  • Took the paste up to 125 mg and made its pills.

Makardhwaj Ras is an Ayurvedic medicine available in the tablet form. This medicine balances the tridoshas – vata, pitta and kapha in body. It helps to manage the high body temperature in fever. It is considered as a good medicine for heart health as it helps to strengthen arteries and blood vessels. It is considered as a good medicine for male sexual health. It acts as an aphrodisiac hence improves the libido and enhances sexual desire. It helps to resolve the various problems like debility, weakness, fatigue, premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction etc. This medicine enhances sperm production and also improves the quality of sperms. Dose

1 – 2 tablets, one to two times a day, before or after meals, with milk, honey and betel leaf.
