Kantakari Ghrita - Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage

Introduction

Kantakari Ghrita is an ayurvedic formulation that is known to be prepared from the mixture of herbs. In this formulation ghee is used as a base.

Ingredients

  • Ghrita
  • Kantakari Kwatha

Ingredients for Kalki (Paste) Preparation:-

  • Rasna
  • Balamool
  • Shunthi
  • Pippali
  • Maricha
  • Goshura

Method of Preparation

  • First of all take cow's ghee (clarified butter). Now make the kalka from given ingredients.
  • Now collect the whole parts in a container and cook on mild flame.
  • Dry the mixtur.

Dosage

6 to 12 grams, two times a day with cow milk.

Indications

  • In all kinds of respiratory infections.
  • Asthma
  • Bronchitis
  • Productive cough

Contraindications

Take the formulation under doctor's prescription.
