Kayyunyadi Taila
Bhringarajādi Taila (भृंगराजादि तैला)
Introduction
Kayyunyadi Taila, also known as Bhringarajādi Taila, is a classical Ayurvedic oil preparation primarily indicated for head-related disorders (Siroroga), eye disorders (Netraroga), dental issues (Dantaroga), and premature graying of hair (Palitya). It is traditionally prepared using Bhringaraja (Eclipta alba) as the principal herb, combined with rejuvenating and nourishing herbs and processed in Mūrchita Tila Taila (Refined sesame oil – Sesamum indicum). The Malayalam term “Kayyuny” corresponds to Bhringaraja, which is why the formulation is known as Kayyunyadi Taila in regional traditions.
