Sudarshan Churna - Benefits, Usage, Indications and Dosage

Introduction

Sudarshan churna is an Ayurvedic formulation. It aids in treating fever due to various reasons. Consuming this medicine causes perspiration which decreases fever as a result. As it is a diuretic, it also increases the frequency of urination. It is an amazing herbal medicine for different types of fevers and malaria. This formulation helps in removing toxic substances from the blood. Sudarshan churna helps in enhancing appetite and digestion. It also prevents the body against foreign bodies and has anti-oxidant properties.

Method of Preparation

Grind all the ingredients separately to make a fine powder and combine them. Store them in an airtight container away from heat, light and moisture.

Dosage

3 to 6 grams twice a day with hot water.

Indications

  • Malaria
  • Typhoid fever
  • Loss of appetite
  • Chronic fevers
  • Acute fevers
  • Headache
  • Fever related to spleen & liver problems
  • Bodyache
  • Cough & cold

Contraindications

  • There are no known adverse effects of this formulation.
  • Over dosage is strictly discouraged.
  • It should be taken under medical supervision.
