Vranaropana Tailam (Oil)

Introduction

Vranaropana Tailam (Oil) is an Ayurvedic oil which is useful in healing wounds. Vrana refers to a wound and ropana means healing.

Ingredients

• Madhuchishta (Bees wax)
• Sesame oil / Coconut oil
• Latex of Snuhi
• Latex of Arka plant

Method of Preparation

This herbal oil is made by Taila paka vidhi (method).

Method of Usage

It is used externally.

Dip a clean piece of cloth in this oil and spread it on the wound or insert a wick dipped in oil in deep or tubular wounds.

Indications

• Promotes faster wound healing
• Prevents infection
• Prevents pus formation

Contraindications

• There are no reported side effects with this formulation on applying externally.
• This oil should not be consumed orally.
